NOIDA, India: As a part of its CSR initiatives, G-Cube announces the ‘Creative IT Skills Training program’ at Om Foundation School. The school is run by Om Foundation, a registered NGO involved in educating the children of urban slums and providing basic healthcare facilities.
As OM Foundation’s CSR partner, G-Cube wanted a closer association with the school and its children. The ‘Creative IT Skills Training program’ was thus conceptualized, where trained professionals from the G-Cube family volunteer to train the children on basic IT skills on a fortnightly basis. The training is aimed at empowering the children with technical skills and knowledge which will help them secure a better future for themselves. The sessions have begun for the students of Class VII of Om Foundation School and at the end of the year they will be evaluated based on their performance. For meritorious students, G-Cube will also to help with procuring jobs after school and garnering better professional prospects.
Barsha Chakraborty, Head, Human Resources shares her enthusiasm, ’The Creative IT Skills Training program kick-started this month and G-Cubians are thrilled to volunteer for this cause. We look forward to an extended collaboration with Om Foundation and increase the scope of the training session to include classes on hygiene, personal grooming and so on. Through the program we take yet another step towards our corporate of ‘Happiness for all’ and hope that G-Cubians are successful in making a perceptible shift in the quality of these children’s lives.’
