The celebration began with an Inter-departmental Rangoli competition … powdered colors, flowers and diyas were used for decorations. Diyas enlightened on Rangoli decorations added grace to the evening by symbolizing its true meaning of victory of light over darkness.
The evening not only provided a perfect setting for celebrations but also gathered all the G-Cubians under the same roof which doubled the joy of the ceremony. Tambola and some impromptu games were some of the other ways in which G-Cubians enjoyed the essence of the festival.
The special food stalls of Gol Gappe, Chaat and Tikki made the celebration more vibrant and lively. The celebration ended by presenting gifts and sweets in exquisite packs to all the G-Cubians.
On the whole “Diwali” is a people-oriented festival when enmities are forgotten, families and friends meet, enjoy and establish a world of closeness.Wishing everyone a very Happy Diwali!
